There is going to be a lot going on over the next few months so please keep an eye on suttonpta.org/8thgrade where we will keep all information updated. You may also want to subscribe to both the school's calendar as well as our 8th grade calendar so you have all specific dates on your phone.
Specific events coming up:
- Rising 9th Grade DLI Info Meeting: Wednesday, January 15th at 6:30p. Info HERE
- Rising 9th Grade Warrior Welcome: Thursday, January 16th at 5:30p. Info HERE
- Rising 9th Grade Parent Night: Thursday February 6th at 6p. Info HERE
- Just a heads up that per Sutton's calendar, the 8th grade promotion ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, May 28th from 10:30a-12:30p at NAHS.
Dues:
- Pay your dues! Thank you so much to those who have already paid and donated towards scholarships but we still have a long way to go!
- We currently have collected about $10,000 less in dues than last year's class had at this time and only about 220 out of 575 families have paid.
- We are setting a deadline of February 3rd for dues to be paid. Things are more expensive this year and we need to determine what funds we have to work with.
- So please pay by February 3rd in order for your child to get to participate in all the fun year end activities!
Fundraiser with Double Good Popcorn:
- We have an amazing opportunity for an easy fundraiser for our 8th graders. 100% of the proceeds will go to offset the 8th grade prom (scheduled for March 30th). Monies raised will go towards keeping ticket prices low by funding decor, DJ, security, staff and 360 photo booth.
- We have set up a Double Good virtual fundraiser! It’s 100% contactless, we keep 50% of all sales and the product ships directly to the buyer.
We’ll each create a Pop-Up Store and sell Double Good popcorn! Prices for Signature Bags (5 cups each) start at $11 and Curated Collections at $31. The popcorn is delicious and award-winning!
Our fundraising window begins on January 30, 2025, at 5:00 PM and goes until February 03, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
Before the fundraiser begins:

3. Create your Pop-Up Store
The app is available for free on iOS and Android.
Haven't paid your dues yet? For those who fundraise $500 or more, and who have not paid dues, the dues will be waived.
