We can't believe we're already in our last year at Sutton!  Your 8th grade coordinators for the year are Emily Fournier and Keisha Prentiss. Feel free to email us at 8thgradesutton@gmail.com. We'll be sending out newsletters throughout the year to keep you updated on all things 8th grade. Newsletters will be archived below for easy access and all information will be posted here so bookmark this page! 

 

NYC Trip

Registration for the 8th grade NYC trip (Sunday, 05/18/2025 - Tuesday, 05/20/2025) is now open. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Total cost is $1,274--quad rooms—students only. Chaperones will be 8th grade Teachers and Administrators. Registration is not confirmed until Gerber Tours receives payment. An initial, non-refundable Tour Planning Fee/Booking Deposit of $250 is required to register. The deadline to register for this tour, if space is still available, is 12/04/24. 

 

To make payment and secure a student spot, tap, click, or scan the QR code in the red box on the Trip Information document. First time users will need to create an online user account. Once the account has been created OR if you already have an online user account, please login and enter the ONLINE REGISTRATION CODE to register a participant.

Updates and Reminders 

  • CLICK HERE TO PAY YOUR DUES! To fund all of our fantastic events, we are collecting dues that will cover most of the PTA and Sutton events for 8th graders (with some exceptions as you'll see below). We cannot fund these events without your dues and we may be able to plan more with your support!

     

    What are dues funding?

    - Class of 2029 t-shirts

    - Lunch pizza party before the October break

    - 8th Grade Dance (event costs)

    - Movie Day at AMC*

    - Party at Main Event*

    - Fun Day (post-Field Day celebration for 8th graders only)

    - 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony

    * Your student will not be able to participate in the asterisked activities if dues are not paid.

    What is NOT included?

    - Yearbook ads

    - Out of town field trips

    - Entry ticket to 8th Grade Dance

    - Class of 2029 yard signs

     

    Dues are $150 per student and are due by October 31.  You also have the option to pay this fee over a 3-month period. For those who are able, please consider an additional donation to help cover dues for students who may be in need. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please let us know here. North Atlanta High School Information

 

North Atlanta High School Prospective Parent Tours 

The 2024-2025 NAHS Prospective Parent Tours have been scheduled and the registration link is here. The Warrior Welcome is scheduled for the evening of January 16. This is strictly for current 8th grade Sutton families that know they will be attending North Atlanta in the fall of 2025. We highly encourage Sutton families to participate in the Warrior Welcome in lieu of the monthly tours. Our policy is that Sutton families attend EITHER the Warrior Welcome OR a monthly tour, but not both.
